The Deep South Stock Horse Show Association
                                                                                COVID-19 Policies and Guidelines

The Deep South Stock Horse Show Association is excited to resume our 2020 show season beginning with our June 13th show. In compliance with state and local social distancing recommendations, the Deep South Stock Horse Show Association asks that all riders and spectators observe and adhere to the guidelines below in order to provide a safe and healthy experience for all participants. We ask that these guidelines be followed immediately upon arrival to our show venue, during preparation for the show, during and throughout the entirety of the show, and afterwards as participants prepare to leave.

.
  1. We ask that spectators and riders wear masks when they are closer than 6 feet from another participant who is not a member of their household. Participants are not required to wear masks when gathering with other members of their household. Also, riders may remove their masks during a class if they wish, but we ask that they adhere to the mask guidelines after they exit the class. Masks will not be provided at the show.
  2. DSSHSA will be providing online class entry and payment through Sign Up Genius software. Access links and detailed information will be provided on the website, Facebook page, and Instagram page as the show date approaches. We strongly suggest that all participants use the online signup to lessen the traffic at the registration desk. Those who register and pay online before the deadline will be entered to win a prize drawing; the winner will be announced during the show. The deadline to sign up, pay, and edit your classes online is 7 p.m. the night before the show. This is so that entries can be printed out and added to the computer system in a timely manner. No exceptions will be made to this deadline. There will be a small service fee charged for online entry. Please review the online signup guidelines posted on the website before registration.
  3. If a participant chooses not to use the online signup, we ask that only one person from each family approach the registration desk to register, pay, or change classes. Please only make class changes when absolutely necessary.
  4. Hand sanitizer will be provided at the show; however, participants should bring their own hand sanitizer if they are able. We ask that all participants apply hand sanitizer regularly throughout the duration of the show. We also ask that all riders and spectators wash their hands at the sinks in the venue restrooms often.
  5. We will continue to offer lunch served at the food truck; hand sanitizer will be available at the truck.
  6. Patterns will be posted on the website the day before the show. We ask that participants print these out before the show or refer to them on a mobile device in order to lessen the traffic near the registration desk.
  7. We ask that riders limit use of shared tack and equipment, and we encourage parents and trainers to adequately sanitize shared trailers and tack rooms as needed.

Thank you for your cooperation and adherence to these guidelines.
